BASTEYNS FAMILY MEMORIAL

In Loving Memory of Mrs. Basteyns (Grandmother to Nolan), at the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, we are gratefully accepting donations in her honor.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to The Basteyns Family.

Dorothy “Dottie” Basteyns (72) unexpectedly passed away on June 1, 2020. Dottie was born in Auburn and raised in Enumclaw, Washington where she worked as an elementary school teacher. It was there she met the love of her life, Charles, who she was married to for 49 years. Together they had two sons, Brian and Jason. After retiring Dottie and her husband became snowbirds in Phoenix, Arizona where they eventually permanently relocated. She spent her time with her family and friends. She was a Lady Putter, hosted & attended lunches and cards “with the gals”, as well as volunteered. She loved QVC, the Hallmark channel, and watching sports, especially her grandkids.

She was a fan of San Diego State University (SDSU) and had an endearing love and dedication to the Mariners, faithful at heart. Dottie loved life, her friends and especially her boys. She was proceeded in death by her mother Dorothy and father Joe. She is survived by her husband Charles, sons Brian (Lauren) and Jason (Heather), grandchildren Mackenna, Nolan, Cesilie, Logan, Kailyn and Camryn, her brothers Don (Betty), Jim (Retta) and Dick (Mary Jo) in addition to her many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She lived a life of love and happiness. She cared about all of those who touched her heart. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
