After the initiation of the Kroc Center Saints in-house program, Jason Galea's vision for the program developed into the San Diego Saints tournament team. The team was made up of players from the Kroc Center Saints in-house program and competed in tournaments in Orange County.

The very first tournament that this team competed in was a second place finish to the Phoenix Polar Bears at Hunington Beach.
